Ourｒ company tried using another company’s magnetic separator. However, none of them lasted a year without the magnetic drum and rubber wearing. They were simply an accessory that came with our machines. Our assumption was that this is what a magnetic separator was. We had basically given up being satisfied. Then we were shown Sumitomo’s FineMag. We did not hold out much hope, but after trying it, we were completely surprised and our doubts were immediately overcome.

The biggest surprise was that the discharged sludge was dry to the touch. As sludge is discharged along the entire width of the drum, the sludge does not wear the rollers and the chain parts do not wear as well.

After a year of using the demo machine, we were able to confirm how great the machine was. Ever since we have widened our use of the FineMags and now specify them as the magnetic separator we want when we purchase new equipment. I believe it is pretty unusually for a customer to specify just one brand of auxiliary equipment when ordering like we do.

Later, another company approached use with what they said was a magnetic separator that would equal the FineMag. We received a demo machine from the to try, and as they said, the sludge being discharged from their separator was squeezed well and was dry. Unfortunately, only after a month of use, the drum surface had become rough with scratches and the sludge began to be discharged wet.

It was the FineMag that stopped accumulation in the tank, due to the FineClone removing the grit, impurities are below the established value and so we are currently able to have the sludge purchased from us.

Lastly, regarding Sumitomo’s service, regardless of what the issue is, they always return our call/email on the day we contact them. We know we can count on them. As there are no breakdowns, we don’t have much need to contact them, but they contact us periodically We are very satisfied with their after-purchase service.
